About
It all started when…
We saw what 100 Kids Who Care Calgary and the 100 Women Who Care Airdrie movements were doing…we know Airdrie needed 100+ Kids helping out the community!
In 2016 a couple of local moms saw a need in our community and brought together kids from Airdrie and area for three meetings. We donated first to the Wild Rose Human Society in Didsbury (serving Airdrie & area), then to the Alberta Cancer Society and finally to the Boys & Girls Club of Airdrie.
We revived 100 Kids Who Care Airdrie in fall of 2019 and welcomed new and old members to join us! We were being run by a larger steering committee of 4 local moms and we gave $1,000 to Cuddles for Cancer, and then Covid happened in early 2020 and we took a break.
Now in the Fall of 2024 we are thrilled to be reigniting the FIRE that is 100 Kids Who Care - Airdrie.
The 100 Who Care Alliance is known throughout the world. There are now more than 700 chapters worldwide and they include women, men, people, kids, and teens chapters. The founder of the movement saw people for their strengths and realized that when 100 or more people come together in a room, each person becomes a powerful force for doing good work while lifting up your community.
We are each strong in our own right, and TOGETHER we are stronger.
